Dr. Stephanie Woolwich-Holzman, (Rhiannon, to her friends), was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences in 1987, with a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology.

She was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing conventional veterinary medicine and surgery since 1992, working with horses, cows, llamas, dogs, cats, and “pocket pets”, including rabbits and guinea pigs. Having found that conventional veterinary medicine did not always have the capacity to address every animal’s illness or the totality of their health care, she sought furthur training.

She was certified in Veterinary Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1996, and the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 2003. Further education in these and other facets of holistic veterinary care is an ongoing, lifelong process. This process has included training in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Nutrition, Craniosacral therapy for animals, Reiki Attunement and level 1 certification, and completion of the three year Core Shamanism training offered by Tracey and Emery Forest of Spirit Hollow.
