Following is a list of organizations that I feel would be helpful to you.
IVAS - International Veterinary Acupuncture Society
- is the certifying organization for veterinarians providing acupuncture care
to their patients. Certification requires over 200 hours of post graduate
study. Maintaining this certification since 1996 requires continual training
and learning each and every year. I am proud to be able to provide this service
to my patients.
AAVA - American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture
- is a sub group of the IVAS organization that oversees acupuncture
veterinarians in the United States and provides opportunities for continuing
education. I am a charter member.
VVMA - Vermont Veterinary Medical Association
- is the state level organization of veterinarians that sets standards for
conventional and alternative veterinary care. They also provide opportunities
and oversee the continuing medical education of their members. I am a member.
AVMA - American Veterinary Medical Association
- is the national level organization that oversees and sets standards for both
alternative and conventional veterinary care. I am a member.
AVCA - American Veterinary Chiropractic
Association
- is the certifying organization for veterinarians providing chiropractic care
for their patients. Certification requires over 200 hours of post graduate
training. Maintenance of certification requires completion of continuing
medical education courses every year.

- SCAS is our local animal humane organization that finds new homes for
abandoned pets, and provides important education about animals to the
community.
