I started taking my police K9, Calix, to see Dr. Stephanie about 4 years ago. While I was aware of the availability of veterinary chiropractic care prior to starting our visits, I did not realize just how helpful such routine maintenance care would be to the dog. Calix is a very high drive German Shepherd who only knows one speed, and rarely thinks beyond performing the action his mind is set upon- whether it is tracking a person, finding drugs, or running down a tennis ball at 100mph. He has no concern for his physical safety, and is well known for his spectacular crash and burn episodes. Dr. Stephanie has been invaluable in adjusting Calix on a regular basis (reassembling I think might sometimes be a more accurate description!) and, at 10 years of age he is still going strong. I have no doubts that Dr. Stephanie has been directly responsible for keeping him healthy, and performing well throughout a long and successful career as a police dog.
